Cyclists can now enjoy travelling New Zealand's newest cycle trails and cross from one to the other with the cycle trail ferry link  aboard the Ranui between Horeke, Kohukohu, and Rawene.

Twin Coast Cycle Trail – Pou Herenga Tai

Crossing the Mid North coast to coast. From Horeke on the Hokianga Harbour (West Coast) to Opua on the East Coast cycle 87km through diverse, stunning landscapes. A fascinating journey through some of New Zealand's earliest Maori and European settlements.

The Far North Cycle Trail

From the lighthouse at Cape Reinga, down Ninety Mile Beach – best ridden at low tide – and on through Ahipara and into Hokianga via Broadwood and Kohukohu to Rawene. This epic 161 km ride is made up of 50% solid sand surface and 50% sealed road.
